So, a YEAR Later to the day, I finally got around to coloring and uploading this. After Jim declared it uncolorable, I thought I'd step up to the challenge, but it fell by the wayside. I kept the Deviation Notification in my alerts so that I would be able to link to it easily when the time came, and I noticed the submission date was coming up again, and I said to myself "I'd better do this."

And Wow, I'm really happy with it. Even with the crappy background done just so that the wings would stand out. I also tried a different technique for the flesh shadows that really helps avoid the dirty Barbie Doll look. (Don't shadow the flesh with black)

Colored in PhotoShop 5.0 Mac on my ancient 8600/300 (w/ a G4 Card). Probably about 4-5 hours in snatches. Although I did start with cleaning up the lines about a year ago. (7/20/07 according to the file info).

Doh! I forgot the shadow I was going to put on the floor! Does it matter?
